Thien Kee is a popular spot among many Singaporeans. They are also probably one of the oldest steamboat restaurants in Singapore. Nope, not the free-flow ‘mala’ steamboat you often see outside today, but the very traditional type of steamboat that reminds you of home-cooked goodness. Being a Hainanese restaurant, they serve up very good side dishes, from pork chops to sambal prawns etc. Did I not mention they have the best chicken rice I’ve ever eaten? Prices has gone up over the years, but the quality of food remains tip top.
