Wah Kee Big Prawn Noodle

With all the social media buzzing about this famous Big Prawn Noodle that originated from Pek Kio Market, I popped over to their brand new outlet over at Esplanade to check it out. Queue was relatively short late in the night after 8.30pm, so that would be a good timing if you wanna avoid the dinner crowd.

Four choices were available; the $6 (sliced prawn), $12, $20 and the $30 bowl (jumbo prawn). I had the $20 bowl as the rest were all sold out by the time I got there. I went with their signature Mee Kia which came in a very tiny portion, I bet half the guys out there would require double serving! That aside, the prawns were big and succulent, matching up to the hefty price tag. The highlight would have to be their soup, which I thought was pretty good, but somewhat lacks that distinctive prawn taste.

Overall, a very decent prawn noodle spot to fix your cravings while you’re around the Esplanade and Marina Square area. Tasty soup, fresh prawns, and delicious tasting noodles. But… I won’t queue more than 10 mins, that’s for sure.
